Don’t treat your jewelry business as hobby. Treat it as an actual business.
To be clear, some people get into the business with no purpose beyond having a fun hobby on the side that brings in a little bit of income here and there. Perhaps that describes you – And that’s totally okay! You don’t have to go into it wanting it to be this great big income generator.
But if you truly want your business to be successful, you will have to start treating it as more than a hobby and more like a real business.
This means you’ve got to dig in your heels and put in a lot of blood, sweat, and tears.
This means you’ve got to invest a lot of time, get down and dirty, do hard things, learn as much as you can, figure out your bookkeeping, know your goals, have the right mindset, and do what needs to be done to bring your business up to the level of success at which you’d like it to be.
If you came into it thinking it will be an easy way to get some cash, you’re in the wrong business. It won’t be easy to bring about success (although that’s not to say you won’t have fun along the way!).
