If you’re a newbie to live Facebook sales, don’t get overwhelmed! It’s not as scary as it seems.
In addition to all the tips we’ve provided in other posts, here are a few things you can do to help get a good turnout.
Invite people individually
When you’re first starting out as a consultant, you have an excellent “excuse” to reach out to your friends and family and get them to watch your live sales.
Invite them via text message, Facebook Messenger, or even in person. Let them know you’ve started doing live sales for your business and you’d love for them to check out your video and comment or share.
(You can even offer an opportunity to be entered for a free piece of jewelry for any commenters or sharers.)
Invite at least 100 people
You want to shoot for messaging at least 100 people.
100 people may seem like a large amount but only a fraction of these people will actually show up to your live sale so you’ll need to aim high if you want a good turnout.
And Facebook Messenger actually makes it quite easy to send messages to a large number of people by using their “Forward” feature. If you’re on your smartphone, you can utilize this feature by sending your invitation message out to a single person, then hold your thumb on your message bubble and select the “Forward” option that comes up.
This will allow you to send the same message to a large number of people individually without having to open individual messaging windows for each one.
Follow up
Keep track of the people you’re sending the invitation messages to so that you can follow up to remind them.
Note that it’s totally normal for people to ignore your initial invitation message, so don’t take it personally and don’t be afraid about following up (unless they clearly said they weren’t interested).
Here’s a suggested pattern you could follow: Send the initial invitation message 5-7 days before your live sale, then a follow-up message 3 days after that. Then for anyone who replied “yes” to your invitation or who didn’t respond, send them the link to your live video when you actually go live.
Some people will say “no” to your invitation but don’t let that discourage you – They aren’t rejecting you as a person; they just aren’t interested in participating!

With these tips in hand, get out there and get going on your live sales! The only way to get it done is to just do it. 🙂
