Are you a new consultant? Or haven’t quite found your footing yet and gotten started?
Once you’ve taken the plunge and decided to try out the whole consultant thing, a natural next step is to throw a launch party.
A launch party is a great way to kick off your business and let your friends and family know about the journey you’ve entered.
Here are some tips on throwing a launch party:
- Commit to a venue – Online? Your home? A friend or family member’s home? – as well as a date and time
- Make a list of people to invite – friends, relatives, neighbors, friends’ neighbors – anyone you can think of! Feel free to invite anyone and everyone!
- Create a Facebook event (or group if you’re doing your launch party online) and invite people to the party on there
- If you have a friend or family member hosting your party, give them a few free items and have them invite their friends too
The nice thing about a launch party is that it’s a low-pressure way for you to get started because most of the attendees will be people who already know you! Your friends and family will be there to support you.
It’s a great way to get your business off to a good start and ideally it can get you started in a “party chain” – hopefully you can get at least one party booking which will lead to a chain of further party bookings.
If you haven’t thrown a launch party yet, consider putting one together today. Think about where you’d like to throw it, who you’d like to invite, and get started inviting!
