So many people don’t have clear goals of what they are aiming at with their business – Just ambiguous things like, “I want to grow,” or, “I want to make more money.”
Unfortunately, if you don’t have clear goals it will make it difficult to find much success in your business.
You want to get clear goals for your business so that you have something you’re aiming at.
You want to have overarching goals, but you also want smaller, more attainable goals to give you momentum.
For example, having a goal of wanting to make $100k per year with your business may seem totally impossible to some. But if you break it up into smaller chunks, it can have a domino effect to help you reach your ultimate goal.
Every “domino” you knock down makes it easier to knock down the next, slightly bigger domino. You knock these out one at a time and eventually you might be able to hit your target!
So what is your ultimate goal? Let’s say it’s to be making $100k per year in 5 years.
How can you then break this down into a yearly goal? Maybe you need to increase your income by $5k this year, then $10k the next, then $20k, etc.
Then what would that look like monthly right now? Maybe this month you want to make $100 more than the last, then maybe the following month you could shoot for $300 more, and so on.
And you can even break that down into weekly and daily. If you want to make $100 more this month, what can you do this week to get $25 extra in sales? Or what can you do today to get $5?
“If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time.” -Zig Ziglar
