How to Find the Most Success with Recruiting

In a direct sales business, often one of the best ways to earn good money and work your way up is by recruiting people to your team.

Whatever your opinion is of this type of business model, it is simply the reality for many of these kinds of companies.

So if you want to be as successful as possible as a consultant you’ll want to devote some time and energy to recruiting.

Here are some tips to help!

Genuineness

Probably the best tip for recruiting successfully is the BE GENUINE.

You should truly love your company and your product. Promoting it should come naturally because you are excited about it.

How can you tell people about a great opportunity if you don’t truly believe it yourself? How can you convince other people to sell the jewelry if you’re not excited about it?

Be honest, and share about why you started selling and why you continue to sell.

Talk about the perks you love that come along with being a consultant – Talk about the things you’re able to do, the stuff you’re able to get that you wouldn’t otherwise be able to. Not in a braggy way, but just sharing your excitement about the opportunities being a consultant has opened up for you.

Persistence

Let’s face it: People generally aren’t going to jump on board just because you tell them about the great opportunities you’ve experienced.

You’ll need to be persistent. It may take 5 or 10 or 20 times of asking someone before they agree to join your team and become a consultant.

Now, you don’t want to be obnoxious and pushy when you’re trying to recruit people. You don’t want to put a strain on relationships because you’re constantly nagging your friends and family about becoming a consultant. If someone clearly says “no” you don’t want to harass them.

But at the same time you don’t want to give up on someone too early. Sometimes it takes planting a seed and then a few gentle nudges before someone may finally decide to give it a try.

We would recommend messaging a few people per day about becoming a consultant, and remember that a lack of response is not the same as “no.”

Hopefully these tips can help give you a starting point. Happy recruiting! šŸ™‚
