In order to show up, people need to be notified when you’re going live!
One of the best ways to let your customers know when you’re going live is through texting – After all, everyone checks their texts.
The first step to utilizing texting efficiently is to set up a mass texting account. Then you need to get people to subscribe to your text list.
Here are some tips to help with that!
Use Your Keyword
Your text alert account will come with a free “keyword” – a word that people can text in and the system will subscribe them automatically. (For example, your keyword might be BLING on 91096, so you can tell people “Text the word BLING to the number 91096 to subscribe to my text alerts!”)
You want to display these instructions anywhere and everywhere.
Put it on your Facebook page. Put it in your Facebook group description. Put it on your business cards, in email newsletters – everywhere!
Use Your Sign-Up Page
Your text alert account also comes with a free online site you can give to people to sign up.
Just like with advertising your keyword, you can display the link to your sign-up page anywhere and everywhere.
One difference is that when posting on Facebook, you’ll want to try to avoid posting links that take people away from Facebook as Facebook penalizes that in their algorithm so fewer people will see it.
Instead of including the link directly in your Facebook post, you can say “Click the link in the comments below” and have an emoji with a finger pointing down. Then copy and paste the link into the comments.
Mention Your Opt-in Methods During Lives
During your lives, remind people how they can opt in to receive your texts. Particularly, give them the instructions for how to text in to subscribe.
Say the instructions at the beginning, a time or 2 in the middle, and at the end of your video.
Offer Incentives
Offering incentives is a great way to entice people to want to join your text list.
You could give people a free item or a discount for joining. Or if you don’t want to do that, you can hold periodic raffle drawings for a free item and tell people that subscribing gets them free entries in the drawing.
